What DVUSD & Legend Springs Expects from its Students

At DVUSD and Legend Springs, we believe that a safe, respectful, and orderly environment is essential for student success. All students are expected to respect the rights of others and behave in ways that ensure the safety and well-being of themselves and those around them.

We take a proactive approach to both social and academic behavior. When behavior concerns arise, we reteach expectations to help students make positive choices before implementing progressive disciplinary actions, depending on the nature of the infraction.

Disciplinary measures may be taken when students do not follow established conduct guidelines. If a student’s behavior becomes an ongoing concern, teachers and/or the principal will contact parents or guardians to collaborate on a solution that supports the student’s success.

School discipline policies and procedures are available on our website. Signature pages are also sent home at the beginning of each school year to ensure that families have reviewed and discussed the expectations. These guidelines are grounded in the DVUSD Student Rights & Responsibilities, which every family has access to annually.
