Mrs. Furtmann graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology. She also holds Early Childhood and Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsements. In 2016, she earned her Master of Arts in Teaching with an emphasis in Professional Learning Communities from Grand Canyon University and is currently working toward her Gifted Endorsement.

Mrs. Furtmann has been teaching since 2013 and is proud to be a product of the Deer Valley Unified School District. She attended Mountain Shadows Elementary School, Desert Sky Middle School, and Deer Valley High School before returning to serve the community as an educator.

Outside the classroom, Mrs. Furtmann enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children. She loves traveling, especially to Flagstaff, and values creating meaningful memories with her family. She is passionate about fostering a classroom where every student feels safe, supported, valued, and inspired to learn each day.
