I am so excited to be at Legend Springs teaching EL to our amazing students!  They brighten my days!  

Here is a little about me. I grew up in Connecticut and graduated from college at the University Of Connecticut, earning my Masters in Education with an emphasis in Reading. Soon after graduation, I moved to Arizona with my family to try a new adventure. I taught 1st grade and received my reading specialist endorsement and SEI endorsement. Later, I became a Learning Network teacher, where I went into model lessons for new teachers and teach reading groups. That moved me into becoming a program specialist in the district.  I continued modeling and working with teachers to set up class learning centers and modeled reading lessons. I missed working in my own classroom so went back into 1st Grade, moved into 2nd grade, and am now working with EL students. I am passionate about teaching children and truly enjoy seeing them grow to become confident learners!

I met my husband here in Arizona and we have two wonderful children! My daughter is in her second year at San Diego State University and is becoming a nurse.  My son is in his senior year of high school at Ridge and is already working on getting his private pilot license.   During our free time, we love to travel.  Our favorite is visiting the beach in California and being near the ocean!
